March 2017 Recording Session

STRING SESSION, MARCH 2017

I recently had the opportunity to record here at my studio for a number of upcoming projects.  While I can’t go into detail (yet) on the projects, I thought it would be fun to show you some pictures of our space here in Los Angeles, and a bit of the process.

I was recording live strings for two projects.   Here’s a view of the scoring stage from our control booth just prior to recording:

My contractor, Nicole Garcia, brought in some amazing players. We started on the first musical cues with a string quintet comprised of 2 Violins, 2 Violas and a Cellist:

Adam Schmidt engineered and mixed the sessions.  One of the most talented people I know and a guy whom I trust will always make my music sound great!  Adam worked for years over at Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control Productions and has the experience in making musical cues sound beautiful and epic
